Linas Ambrasūnas, the creator of the Sustainable Tourism award design is a former ecologist. Currently he is the Head of the EtnoDesign studio, where improvisation on heritage theme is a key.  Over 10 years studio creates representational gifts and inspiring souvenirs for various institutions and organisations. The designer shares his belief in visual that carries a message, both relevant and timeless. The archaic symbols of water and the Earth were integrated in to the Sustainable Tourism award prize, mapping common Baltic region. Playing with the fretwork, the invisible yet crucial air element entered the gaps of the wood. “The overall shape of the award for sustainability is fragile as if the bodies of the Baltic seaside and water that we all share and have a conscious choice to care for.”
